International Education Week (IEW) is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. IEW celebrates the importance and benefits of international education in the U.S. and around the world. Inaugurated in 2000, IEW is celebrated in more than 100 countries worldwide.

IEW is designed to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences. Our UNC World View program participants champion the ideals for students to become global citizens prepared to live and work with a global mindset. UNC World View is committed to providing outstanding professional development by sharing global resources and expertise.

We are grateful for our education partners and the outstanding teaching and learning in classrooms (both virtual and face to face) during these challenging times.
