Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting

The Pulitzer Center invites all K-12 students in the U.S. and abroad to enter the 2019 Local Letters for Global Change contest. Students, make your voice heard by writing a letter to your representative explaining the global issue you want them to prioritize. You could have your letter, photo, and bio published, and win $100 for your class! Deadline: November 15. Contest details here: pulitzercenter.org/localletters

The contest invites students to write a letter to their representative explaining the global issue they would like to see prioritized, its connection to their community, and what action steps they propose. Student winners and finalists will have their letters, bios, and photos published on the Pulitzer Center website. Three students’ teachers will receive $100 to further global education in their classrooms and the opportunity to Skype with a journalist. Here’s what the winners and finalists looked like last year!
