TRES VIDAS at UNC-CHAPEL HILL, NOV 5

Tres Vidas (Three Lives) is a live music theatre work for singing actress, piano, cello and percussion, based on the lives of three legendary Latin American Women: Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, Salvadoran peasant activist Rufina Amaya, and Argentine poet Alfonsina Storni. WORLD VIEW EDUCATORS TO CONFRONT POVERTY AT COMMUNITY COLLEGE SYMPOSIUM

The program is slated for November 13-14 at the Friday Center at UNC-Chapel Hill. Poverty has always been present in the United States and around the world and its causes are numerous.

Recently all eyes have been on Swedish activist Greta Thunberg and several other formidable youth who are demanding action around climate change. The timing coincides with the meeting of the United National General Assembly (UNGA) where world leaders convene to discuss challenges and solutions for improving the lives of all on our planet.
