July 2019 through spring 2020 | K-12 and community college educators of all disciplines are invited to apply to the 2019-2020 World View Global Music Fellows Program. This interdisciplinary professional learning opportunity will enhance educators’ global competency skills and expand educators’ pedagogical toolkits for integrating music into their curricula.

October 17-18, 2018 | Our K-12 global education symposium explores significant global issues, offers best practices and resources in global education and provides educators an opportunity to develop a global action plan for their classroom, school or system. It’s an immersive professional development experience that will increase educators’ knowledge of global issues and global competency skills and promote global education by integrating these issues in the classroom or school culture.

March 19-20, 2019 | This seminar will increase educators’ knowledge of Latin America and Latin American cultures, particularly as it relates to Latinx students in North Carolina. We will explore key issues and themes related to Latin America’s history, politics, economies and the diverse cultures represented in this region as well as the relevant connections between the region and North Carolina.

March 20-21, 2019 | This seminar is designed for K-12 and community college educators to acknowledge global migration and incorporate awareness into their teaching and learning. Educators will examine global migration, factors influencing it, its risks and opportunities and the ways in which educators should contemplate this phenomenon as schools and institutions become increasingly diverse.

April 25-26, 2019 | The Creating a Global Media Center Workshop explores strategies, media content and technology tools to bring the world to North Carolina’s schools. The program is designed to help K-12 school librarians and technology facilitators better understand our interconnected world by learning with and through technology and relevant resources.

June 17-21, 2019 | World View’s Global Education Leaders Program brings together current and aspiring leaders from K-12 schools, districts and community colleges. Participants are led by expert university faculty as they engage in dialogue about key global topics and explore leadership strategies to support global education initiatives.
