World View to You! Global Education 101 is one of UNC World View’s 2023-2024 virtual outreach programs for K-8 educators. UNC World View’s experts in the global education arena will meet with educators, offering an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of global competencies and providing frameworks for integrating global themes in all disciplines. The sessions are rich with strategies and resources.

This program is fully funded by the NC Department of Public Instruction, and there is no registration fee to educators.


Presenter

image of Elizabeth Crawford Elizabeth O. Crawford, Ph.D., is a professor of elementary education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington specializing in instructional design, social studies methods, and global education. She co-authored the book, Worldwise Learning: A Teacher’s Guide to Shaping a Just, Sustainable Future, to support K-8 educators and their students as they learn about and take purposeful action to solve interconnected social and ecological issues. Elizabeth is active in various regional, national, and international organizations, such HundrED, the Institute for Humane Education, and the Global Oneness Project. She also serves as an education consultant at the World Bank Group (East Asia and the Pacific) where she advises on climate change education. Elizabeth is a proud partner of UNC World View for whom she has facilitated numerous workshops in global education over the past decade.

To receive .5 CEU you must attend the virtual program and turn in a completed study guide. Study guide information will be emailed to registered participants prior to the program.
