World View is excited to announce that Hazael Andrew began his career as associate director on July 9, 2018. Hazael joins the World View team with rich professional experiences developing and promoting global education programs. He most recently served in student affairs at UNC-Chapel Hill.

Hazael earned a dual bachelor degree in managerial economics and finance from Fayetteville State University, and a MBA in finance from Mississippi State University. Presently Hazael is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where his dissertation research is focused on the experiences of international students at U.S. universities.

Hazael worked in China, piloting a large-scale summer academic enrichment program for Chinese, Indian and American students at Duke Kunshan University, and he has collaborated with the University of the West Indies, exposing students to the British education system and cultural awareness in Trinidad and Tobago.

Having arrived in the United States from the Commonwealth of Dominica as an international student-athlete at age 16, Hazael is an educator who more than understands the importance of a global education. One of Hazael’s many strengths is fostering partnerships to develop programs and he is excited about working with K-12 and community college colleagues to create meaningful professional development programs.

Hazael may be reached at 919-843-5332 or hazael@email.unc.edu. Welcome to World View, Hazael!
