Kicking Off the Fourth Annual Fighting Words Poetry Contest!

We’re thrilled to announce that the 2021 Fighting Words Poetry Contest is now open! We invite all K-12 students in the U.S. and internationally to explore current events, amplify underreported stories, and make their voices heard through poetry. Winners will receive cash prizes and publication on the Pulitzer Center website. Check out last year’s winners and finalists hereDeadline: Saturday, May 15 at 11:59pm EDT.
