Dear Colleagues,

Welcome back to the 2023-2024 academic year!

UNC World View is more than ready to join all K-12 and community college educators throughout North Carolina and beyond– across grade levels and disciplines– in creating globally-minded students and future leaders, workers, and innovators.

To achieve our shared mission, we have designed a series of resource-rich programs for the 2023-2024 school year that will spark curiosity and creativity and equip educators with global content and strategies. Our programs introduce relevant global perspectives while exploring how students can develop effective communication skills, knowledge of STEM topics, and insight into history and culture. Understanding our interconnected world is crucial in this global workforce.

I invite you to collaborate with us during UNC World View’s 25th Anniversary year as we prepare the next generation of future-ready students.

Please visit our website,worldview.unc.edu for an overview of our 2023-2024 programs. Join us as a Global Fellow, participate in the Teacher- Student Initiative, attend our symposia, become a part of our leadership programs, and celebrate with us at the Richardson Lecture on November 30, 2023  as we learn about the future of work in the age of AI.

I wish you, your faculty, and students an outstanding year and look forward to seeing you this fall!

All the best,
