Our global education symposium in Chapel Hill will feature short plenary talks and sessions on human rights issues to increase awareness of human rights and social justice issues and to provide pedagogical strategies and resources for integrating human rights and social justice issues into teaching.

October 16-17, 2019 | In 2015 almost 200 governments adopted the Sustainable Development Goals to guide what must be done to improve the health and well-being of the world’s population. During the symposium educators will explore the 17 global goals and their importance. Educators will leave with strategies for integrating global content across curriculum.
The Global Education Leaders Program Abroad, Ireland 2020 is designed for North Carolina educational leaders, specifically K-12 superintendents and community college presidents or their designees.
March through October 2020 | Travel dates to Costa Rica and Panama are July 19-28, 2020 | The Costa Rica and Panama Study Visit Program includes a one day spring workshop and orientation, a 10-day study visit to Costa Rica and Panama, a follow-up workshop and program materials.
